Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
1ForYes lets an organizer text a group of people they know ("Are you in? Reply 1 for yes, 2 for no") and tells everyone when the spots fill. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It covers both the people who use the app (organizers) and the people they invite by text (invitees), who never need the app.
1ForYes is operated by Meetsies LLC, doing business as 1ForYes ("we", "us").
If you use the app (organizers)
We collect:
- Your account: email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash) and the name you choose. Your name appears on every invite you send.
- Your contacts: the names and mobile numbers you type in, and the lists you put them on. We only have the contacts you add yourself; the app does not read your phone's address book.
- Your invites: the message you write, the number of spots, who you sent it to, and each person's reply (yes, no or no answer) and delivery status.
- Purchases: which invite packs you bought and your invite balance. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or Apple account details, only Apple's signed record of the purchase.
- Device and diagnostics: a push notification token so we can tell you when someone says yes, your app version, and error reports when something breaks (kept for 90 days).
- Support messages you send us.
If someone invited you (invitees)
An organizer who knows you entered your name and mobile number. We use them only to deliver that organizer's invites and our follow-up texts about them ("you're in", "all full"), and to record your reply for that organizer. We do not market to you, sell your number, or share it with other organizers.
- Reply STOP to any of our texts and no one can invite you through 1ForYes again until you reply START. We keep your number on our opt-out list so we can honor that.
- The first text from each organizer says how to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.
How we use information
Only to run 1ForYes: send invites and replies, show organizers who is in, handle purchases, send the notifications you asked for, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and fix bugs. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the app for us, under their own privacy terms and only for that purpose:
- Twilio sends and receives the text messages.
- Apple processes purchases and delivers push notifications.
- Render and Neon host our servers and database in the United States.
- An email provider (SendGrid or Postmark) sends account emails.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our service from abuse.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the providers above that deliver the messages.
Keeping and deleting data
- Organizers can delete their account in Settings. That permanently deletes the account, contacts, lists, invites and replies.
- We keep a log of texts sent and received (number, message and time) as a record for carriers and to investigate abuse. After an account is deleted that log is no longer linked to it.
- Opt-out numbers are kept for as long as we send texts, so a STOP keeps working.
- Invitees who want their number removed can reply STOP, or email us and we will delete it from our records except the opt-out list.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run 1ForYes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
1ForYes is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell organizers in the app before a significant change takes effect.
