1ForYes text messages

1ForYes sends text messages on behalf of people organizing plans with friends. This page explains who sends them, why you got one, what to expect, and how to stop them.

What the program is

An organizer uses the 1ForYes iPhone app to invite people they know to a specific plan, like a walk, a coffee or a game night, with a limited number of spots. We text the invite to each person they chose. Recipients reply 1 for yes or 2 for no. The first yeses get the spots, and everyone else is told when it fills. Recipients don’t need the app.
